Okami on the Wii.

It's been a long time since I updated. I usually update once a year, but I
missed the mark. I figured I should update before everything goes to zero....

Do you think they can achieve the same level of graphics on the Wii as they did on the PS2?
I was just scrolling through Joystiq's Okami page, since I didn't know much about the game outside of what you've told me, and I found this quote from its director:
"To be frank, I was disappointed when I saw [Twilight Princess'] visuals. I'm a Zelda freak -- it's no overstatement to say that I created Okami because of Zelda. I really wanted [Twilight Princess] to have that regal aura, because Zelda was what we were aspiring to. I wanted it to show me things that were surprising, but..."
Was it the graphics that made the game, or was its game-play also good? Will the Wii's interface make up for any lack of graphical capabilities?
Not enough said. Awesome!!! ;-)
Sure seems like this game would settle the "Video games are/are not art" argument.
I definitely think a Wii can match ps2 graphihcs. It would be a lot tougher to match ps3 or xbox360 graphics simply due to the maximum resolution differences: 640x480 vs 1920x1080.
The PS2 rarely had graphics prowess over the Xbox. A Wii has a more powerful GPU than the Xbox.
I also was disappointed in Twilight's graphics but it did move consoles during its development. The graphics really did look a lot like Ocarina's graphics on the N64.
Okami's graphics literally do look like moving watercolor, oil, pastel or acrylic paintings. And the game play is great too. So both. Somewhat more on the side of game play.
Thanks for the response. So it sounds like "Okami" on the Wii is definitely "A Good Thing"(TM).
